The Metal KAFO is a design and function masterpiece. Constructed of several individual components, its design allows the device to be adjusted for a more precise fit as the patient's needs change. It is ideal for the paralytic patient, a sufferer of CVA or quadriceps weakness. The metal superstructure, always attached to a supportive shoe (supplied by the patient) can be constructed in a myriad of ways to control the range-of-motion required at the knee and ankle independent of each other. The device is also available with stainless steel uprights for the heavier patient. A wide variety of shoe modifications can be accommodated at the same time.
